She’s eager to welcome you into Washington Dental Associates, but first, you can learn a little more about her background below.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Kabaria decided to become a dentist largely thanks to her father. He’s not a dentist, but one day, he asked her to look at one of his teeth, which had been hurting. She noticed that something was wrong, so she took him to the dentist. Due to his diabetes, he ended up needing a lot of root canals and gum treatment. During the procedures, the dentist walked Dr. Kabaria through each step, and this piqued her interest. She eventually started looking at all of her family members’ teeth! She ultimately ended up falling in love with the field, especially its combination of art and science, and this motivated her to pursue a dental career.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Kabaria earned her first dental degree from the Krishna School of Dental Sciences, and after coming to the United States, she received her DDS degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She then attended the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, becoming a Diplomate in TMD and orofacial pain. This was followed by completing a General Practice Residency at the VA Hospital in Lyons, NJ. Today, she is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
