Hear From Other Patients Near New Milford
Absolutely the best customer service and care! I've been going to them for about 7 years and have had a great experience. The hygienist is careful to do a thorough job without being harsh on my mouth . The doctors (Dentists) are very knowledgable, as well as educate their patients with care and detailed explanations. I feel lucky to have them nearby. Thanks.

Our team at Washington Dental Associates is here to help! Here are the answers to some of the most popular questions we are asked at our practice near New Milford. If you don’t see what you’re looking for below, don’t fret! Give us a call and we’d be happy to address your questions or concerns.
How do I get emergency dental care?
If you are experiencing an emergency that could be life-threatening, you should call 911. Otherwise, give us a call so we can help. Most hospital emergency rooms are not equipped to properly handle dental emergencies , so you are unlikely to get proper treatment without seeing a dentist. In the majority of cases, we should be able to see you on the same day. We are open in the evening and have weekend hours as well, so don’t hesitate to reach out for help when you need it!
How do I find the best place to get dental work done?
The first thing to do is determine what exactly you are looking for. You should check out whether a practice accepts your insurance if you have it, where they are located, the credentials of the dentists, and the hours that they are available. You should also consider the type of care you want, like cosmetic and/or restorative work, to make sure this is something the practice offers. Finally, you should get a feel for the practice. Check out patient reviews, look at photos, and read the dentist and staff bios. This way, you can make an informed decision.
How much does a dental check-up & cleaning cost?
The cost of a cleaning and check-up can vary on many different factors. Generally, this type of appointment should begin with discussing your health history and any of your concerns. Your dentist will thoroughly examine your smile, and you will receive a professional cleaning, X-rays, and an oral cancer screening. The average in markets across the US is between $200 and $350. Dental insurance often covers the cost of preventive services, including cleanings and checkups.
What level of education is required to be a dentist?
All dentists in the US must have received either a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Sciences (DDS) from one of the 67 Accredited dental schools in the country. Acceptance into these schools requires a bachelor's degree. Dental school lasts 3 years and includes a combination of classroom and hands-on experience. All dentists are also required to complete a certain number of continuing education hours to keep their licenses.
